INTIMATIONS 

Welcome to our Church, especially if you are visiting us. If you wish to know more about our various activities, aims and objectives, please complete one of the blue cards at the end of each pew, or speak to one of the Duty Team at the door. 

Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be served in the Carswell Halls after the Service today. Please join usyou will be most welcome. 

Fairtrade Stalls are held on the second and last Sunday of each month on a regular basis in the Carswell Halls. The stall is on 14th and 28th March after the service. 

Bacon butty breakfasts, an opportunity to discuss informally the bible readings for the week all are warmly invited.  Every Saturday 9.00—9.45am in the Carswell Hall including 27th March.  There will also be a Lent Lunch each Tuesday, in the Carswell Halls, 1.00-2.00pm. 

Lent booklets  are available at the back of the church for collection. 

Having been defeated by the heavy snowfall two weeks ago, the Walking Group will try again on Wednesday to walk at Dalgarven Mill, Kilwinning, leaving from the Church Hall at 10.00am. 

The Guild meets on Wednesday 10th March at 7.30pm in the Carswell Hall.  We will be enjoying the music of East Renfrewshire School Senior String Orchestra.  All welcome. 

The next meeting of the Thursday Group is on Thursday 11th March at 1.15pm in the Carswell Hall.  Bill Niven will be giving a ‘Walk and Talk’ around Eaglesham. 

Second Sitting is on next Sunday at 7.00pm in the Carswell Halls“Afters” at the Manse from 8.15pm for all in secondary school. It will feature a special guest, Fr Douglas McMillan from St Bridget's, who will be sharing some of his own story as well as ideas for closer partnership between our two churches.  7pm in the Carswell Halls, all are warmly welcome.   

The ladies of the W.R.I. would like to thank everyone who supported the 'Effort for Erskine' sale of work on 16th February.  To date the marvellous sum of £1,014 has been raised and we are pleased to be able to send this to Erskine. 

Our annual Boys Brigade Jumble Sale will be held in the Mid Halls on Saturday 13th March from 2pm. We will be collecting throughout the village and Waterfoot on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th .  If you require a special collection of large items please telephone Liz Black on 0141 644 4573.  We also require people to assist on all of the dates , if you can help us please just turn up on the day or night.  Finally if you have a van available for collections please let Billy Inglis know on 01355302459 . 

There will be a short Annual General Meeting in the Sanctuary after church on 20th March, to hear reports and to approve the Budget.  

On 27th March there is to be another "Earth Hour" when we are all encouraged to switch off lights in homes and  workplace  in support of the campaign against climate change. 

 

Easter Services in Eaglesham Church 

28th March   Palm Sunday Family Worship            11.00 am 

1st April       Maundy Thursday Communion           7.00 pm in the Church. 

2nd April      Good Friday Vigil                                Church will be open from 12 noon-3.00 pm for

                                                                                   prayer and reflection.

4th April        Easter Sunday Celebration                11.00 am.

 

Other services are arranged jointly with the churches in our Parish grouping.
