The Church Organ

The Church Organ is a fine 2-manual and pedal pipe organ built by Father Willis in the 1880s. It was originally built for a large house in Bearsden before being moved to Queens Cross Church in 1921 where it remained until 1979. It was then dismantled, moved to Eaglesham and rebuilt in the back of the gallery by the organ builder James MacKenzie, who still maintains and tunes the organ.

Most of the singing on a Sunday morning is accompanied by the organ, although for more modern hymns an electronic keyboard is used and on the last Sunday of the month we are fortunate enough to have the Church Orchestra lead the first two hymns.
